Obsessive Thinking
OCD often hides in sneaky, obsessive thoughts that spiral into relentless fear and anxiety. It’s more than just noticeable rituals; it’s mental loops that can take over your day. Many neurodivergent people experience obsessive thinking without realizing it’s OCD, and some therapy approaches make it worse by encouraging overthinking. I help clients step out of their heads, reduce anxiety, and find practical strategies to feel more in control.
Trauma Healing
Trauma changes how we see ourselves and the world. I help clients move forward by creating space to process what’s happened and rebuild their sense of safety. Through practical steps and compassionate support, we work on creating new environments where you can grow, connect, and feel more at ease in yourself. About The Practice
Evolve Talk Therapy is built on the idea that therapy should grow with people. Life changes, people change, and therapy needs to grow to stay meaningful. The name reflects more than just a process; it’s about rethinking what talk therapy can be. This isn’t about sitting back and nodding or keeping conversations stuck in the same loops. It’s about making sure therapy feels relevant, useful, and genuinely supportive.
A lot of traditional talk therapy focuses on insight, but that’s only part of the story. Evolve Talk Therapy balances reflection with action, exploring deep emotional truths while working on real, practical change. Sessions are a space to untangle overwhelming thoughts, challenge patterns that aren’t working, and build tools that make life feel more manageable.
The work here is different because it grows with each client. It recognizes that what works for one person might not work for another, and what worked last year might not work today. It’s about understanding people in their real lives, not just in theory. It’s therapy that adapts, grows, and moves with you.
Rates & What to Expect
My full fee is $200 to $250 per session, and I offer a sliding scale between $100 and $150 for those who need it. I know therapy is a big investment, and I’m happy to work with you to find a fee that feels comfortable and sustainable.
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly, but I’ll provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. If you’re unsure how your out-of-network benefits work, we can figure it out together.
I’m based in Los Gatos but work via telehealth throughout California, so therapy can happen wherever you feel most at ease — whether that's your couch, a quiet corner, or even with your pet curled up beside you.

I’m Katie, an LCSW #126045, and this work is deeply personal to me. It’s what I’ve lived, studied, and built my practice around. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in your head, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next, and I also know that having someone to sit with you in it can make a huge difference. My approach is thoughtful and straightforward, focusing on what’s actually helpful, without making things more complicated. Therapy doesn’t have to feel like a chore. It can be a space to make sense of things, feel less alone, and figure out what’s possible moving forward.
